Velixo AI Gateway - Overview

The Velixo AI Gateway is in Private Preview and available only to organizations enrolled in the preview program. During the Private Preview, it is available for Acumatica-based ERPs. Support for Sage Intacct and Business Central is coming soon.

Overview

The Velixo AI Gateway, part of Velixo Intelligence, extends Velixo beyond Excel as the AI action layer for your ERP. It connects AI apps such as Claude and Microsoft Teams to your ERP, so you can ask questions about your data, build reports and dashboards, and create or update records from the apps you already use. Support for ChatGPT and Slack is coming soon.

Velixo Intelligence is also available in Excel, in the Velixo NX add-in. For details, see Velixo Intelligence – Overview.

What you can do

  • Ask questions and open results in Excel. Ask about your ERP data in plain language, and get the answer as a table or as a live Excel workbook. See Asking questions and opening results in Excel with the Velixo AI Gateway.

  • Change records. Create and update records, run actions such as release or approve, work with attachments, and run import scenarios. See Changing records with the Velixo AI Gateway (coming soon).

  • Run reports and build dashboards. Run Acumatica reports, and have Claude or ChatGPT buiand live dashboards from your data. See Running reports and building dashboards with the Velixo AI Gateway (coming soon).

  • Send notifications. Send results to yourself, colleagues, or a Teams channel, once or on a schedule. See Sending notifications with the Velixo AI Gateway (coming soon).

  • Use Velixo Skills (coming soon).

How the AI Gateway works

The AI Gateway is an MCP server: MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard that lets AI apps use external tools and data. The AI app sends your request to the AI Gateway, which signs you in with your Velixo account and runs the request against one of your predefined connections in the Velixo Portal. The AI app never receives your ERP credentials, and Velixo can never see or change more than the Acumatica permissions of your connection allow.

Start with Getting started with the Velixo AI Gateway, which lists the prerequisites for your organization. Then set up the apps you use:

Opting out

You can opt out of Velixo Intelligence as an individual user, or a Velixo organization administrator can opt out for the whole organization. The AI Gateway is part of Velixo Intelligence, so opting out turns it off too. Velixo in Excel remains available for reporting, budgeting, and writeback.
