Using ERP permissions with Velixo

Overview

ERP users will have access to the same ERP data from within Velixo. Velixo uses (and is limited by) the same permissions that are defined for the user within the ERP.

If permissions for a module/folder have not been previously configured in the ERP site map, your ERP will set permissions to "Not Set" and everyone will have access to that module/folder - both within the ERP and through Velixo.

Conversely, if any inquiry in your ERP's Data Views folder has been previously secured, none of the Velixo inquiries will be accessible to anyone. See Configuring Access Rights for more information.

Special Note for Active Directory Users:

If your ERP installation provides logins to users through their Active Directory credentials, there are two options for assigning ERP roles to those users:

• Automatically assign ERP roles based to the current AD roles with how those roles are mapped to the ERP roles in the Roles screen
  

• Override the roles and manually assign them from the Users maintenance screen
