This article provides an overview of the differences between our two flagship products: Velixo Classic and Velixo NX.
Velixo originally released Velixo Classic as an Excel add-in for Office / Desktop Excel, and more recently released Velixo NX. NX is the new version of Velixo that adds many functionality, such as support for Sage Intacct and Excel Online as well as Mac platforms.
There are few notable differences between Velixo NX and Velixo Classic:
- Online, self-service installations is only supported by Velixo NX
- Sage Intacct is only supported in Velixo NX
- Distribution List is only supported in Velixo Classic
- Multi-threading architecture (for large Acumatica reports) is only supported by Velixo Classic
- Status pane is only available in Velixo NX
Note: Velixo is dedicated to maintaining both versions of Velixo until Velixo NX eventually surpasses Velixo Classic, at which time Velixo would deprecate Velixo Classic and only add new features to Velixo NX. If you use or intend to use the Distribution List feature, or if refresh speed turns out to be a concern with Velixo NX, please continue to use Velixo Classic with Excel for Windows until further announcements.
Note: If your ERP is Acumatica/MYOB/Cegid, you can always switch from one version to the other without affecting your reports.
