Acumatica 2024R1 and newer require the use of the customization package.
Instructions in this article require admin privileges.
The customization package has been updated to accommodate changes introduced in Acumatica versions 2023R1 and higher. If you currently use these versions or are planning to upgrade, make sure you upgrade the customization package.
Overview
Velixo provides a customization package to facilitate the configuration process for system administrators.
This package provides several features as well as many valuable integrations within your ERP. Beyond that, it is only required when using Acumatica 2024R1 or higher.
The package includes the Velixo Connected Application Configuration required for:

single sign-on
-
the necessary Generic Inquiries used by Velixo

as well as the web services needed for Project Forecast Writeback.
It does not customize existing business logic screens (except by adding the Export to Velixo button to the base Generic Inquiry list graph) and is highly unlikely to cause any conflicts as it includes our own custom endpoints for writeback operations.

Download the latest Customization Package
Select the correct customization package version depending on your ERP system version:
Using Acumatica 2024 R1 or earlier? Download the legacy customization package (no longer supported).
Install the Customization Package

Navigate to the Customization Projects page (SM204505).

Use the Import button to import the downloaded
.zipfile as a new project.

Select the added project, then click the … button dropdown arrow and choose "Publish to Multiple Tenants" from the dropdown menu.
If your Acumatica instance only uses a single tenant, you can use the Publish button instead.

In the dialog window that appears, select all tenants that will be use Velixo NX to access the ERP data and click OK.
Once the process completes, the customization project will be installed for each selected tenant.
Publishing the customization package adds a Velixo workspace to your ERP, along with buttons for exporting Generic Inquiry data and Import Scenarios to Velixo workbooks.
Assigning the Velixo Roles to Users
In Acumatica 2024R1 and newer, the Velixo buttons and the inquiries you publish are (by default) not accessible to anyone.
To make the rollout process easier for you, our customization package now includes three roles:

Velixo Core - to identify the user in Acumatica, use Universal Writeback, access GI functionality etc.

Velixo GL - all financial functionality, including GL / Budget writeback

Velixo PM - all project functionality, including PM Forecast writeback

The Velixo Customization package (supported by ERPs based on Acumatica 2020R1 and newer) requires Administrator rights to install in your ERP.
We highly recommend you coordinate this step with your ERP consultant to avoid accidentally unpublishing other existing projects.

New Version of the Customization Project
Using an older version of the Acumatica package will not prevent Velixo from working, but you will not have access to the latest features included in the new version of the package.
You can check your Velixo Customization Project version in Acumatica, in the VelixoReportsPro-VelixoCustomizationProjectVersion screen, ScreenID = VE500095.
