Localization

  • Guten Tag! German localization is now supported in Velixo NX.

Snapshot

  • "Copy workbook without formulas" has grown into a more powerful feature called Snapshot: everything you know and love about the functionality, with extras:You can now decide to snapshot only the active worksheet instead of the entire workbook.A worksheet-level snapshot can be targeted to the current workbook or a separate workbook.You can now decide to preserve writeback formulas while doing snapshots: can be incredibly useful when e.g. iterating on budgets.

Report distribution

  • New distribution lists that you create will contain a "Refresh workbook" parameter (set to "Yes" by default), which will ensure your workbook is refreshed prior to running the distribution. This helps to address a "partially refreshed" workbook state when:You use distribution lists with parameters;You start a distribution after a long time not refreshing the workbook.

  • The scheduled distribution command-line tool supports a new parameter "--workbook-password" that allows you to work with password-protected workbooks.

Calculation

  • A significant refresh time improvement for larger financial reports (up to 40% in our internal benchmarks, depends on the workbook configuration).

  • Drill-down performance has been further optimised.

  • Dedicated performance improvements to the refresh option of "Current sheet".

  • Improved responsiveness of the "Cancel refresh" operation.

Connection

  • If you opt for entering your connection in the Velixo side panel, non-ASCII characters (such as é, ñ, ç etc.) are now supported for both the username and the password.

Integration with Acumatica


❗️ Improvements in this section require installing the latest Velixo Customization Project

  • Velixo NX can now process exported Generic Inquiries with long names.

  • Improved the clarity of the instructions worksheet in the exported inquiries or universal writeback templates, making it applicable to both the Velixo NX and Velixo Classic.

Error reporting

  • In case multiple function arguments contain validation errors, Velixo NX may display multiple error messages at once.

Report distribution

  • Improved the reliability of the report distribution process on different platforms.

Terminology

  • MYOB Advanced is now MYOB Acumatica.

  • For consistency with Excel ribbon terminology, the term "Worksheet" has been replaced with the term "Sheet" throughout the add-in.

UX

  • Date-returning functions such as PROJECTSTARTDATE will now have a default formatting applied to it (YYYY-MM-DD ISO-based format).

Budget / Project Forecast Writeback

  • Fewer API login/logout operations are performed during writeback, improving performance.

Universal Writeback

  • Velixo NX will now return an error when trying to output values into protected cells or Excel ranges.


🔨 Fixed

Calculation

  • Since Velixo NX 2024.7, a refresh operation could take a long time if the workbook was heavy on conditional formatting. This has been resolved.

Connection

  • Improved the reliability of Velixo's license validation process.

Drilldown

  • Fixed a bug where if you opened a file and ran drilldown without a prior refresh, the drilldown would get stuck and never end.
