Using the AC-IN-RT4 Inventory Days of Supply report template is simple and efficient. It offers a clear view of how long stock will last, helping users manage inventory with minimal setup.


Inventory Days of Supply

The Inventory Days of Supply tab provides a clear view of how long current stock levels will last based on average daily usage. It helps users assess inventory sustainability, anticipate potential shortages, and adjust replenishment strategies accordingly. By analyzing stock availability and usage trends, this tab supports better decision-making to maintain optimal inventory levels.


Filters

Located in the upper left of the sheet, the filters include:

  • Branch: lists all the Branches present in Acumatica Instance including any custom group defined in the options sheet. For ease of use, Velixo shows you the Branch ID that you may be familiar with along with the Branch name. This Display name is configurable in the Options sheet.
  • Warehouse: lists all the warehouses setup in Acumatica
  • As of: a date field that specifies the reference date for inventory transactions.



Inventory Days of Supply Details and Metrics

This section provides a comprehensive view of inventory sustainability by analyzing stock availability and usage patterns. It helps users track key metrics to ensure efficient inventory management, prevent shortages, and optimize replenishment strategies.


The following columns are included on this table:

  • Inventory ID: a unique identifier for each inventory item.
  • Status: the status of the Inventory.
  • Description: a brief description of the inventory item.
  • Warehouse: the specific warehouse where the inventory is stored.
  • Branch: the branch associated with the inventory.
  • On hand: the current quantity of inventory available.
  • Current stock valuation: the total value of inventory on hand based on cost.
  • Avg daily sales cost: the average cost of inventory sold per day.
  • Avg late delivery days: the average number of days shipments are delayed.
  • Avg inventory days of supply: the estimated number of days inventory will last based on average usage.
  • Days of supply: the projected duration current stock can sustain demand.



SO Shipment

The SO Shipment Details tab provides a detailed breakdown of sales order shipments, including information on quantities, shipping dates, and delivery timelines. It helps users track the status of shipments and manage customer expectations by offering visibility into the shipping process.


Filters

The filters in this tab are similar to those on the Inventory Days of Supply tab, but the dates are based on the input date or period in the Inventory Days of Supply As Of field. To calculate the average cost, the filter looks back six months from the selected "As Of" date to establish the date range.



SO Shipment Details table

This table provides a detailed overview of sales order shipments, including information on quantities shipped, shipping dates, and expected delivery timelines. It helps track the progress of each shipment, monitor order fulfillment, and identify potential delays.


The following columns are included on this table:

  • Inventory ID: a unique identifier for each inventory item.
  • Description: a brief description of the inventory item.
  • Warehouse: the specific warehouse where the inventory is stored.
  • Branch: the branch associated with the inventory.
  • Order no: the unique identifier for each sales order.
  • Order date: the date the sales order was created.
  • Requested ship date: the date the customer requested the shipment to be sent.
  • Expected ship date: the projected date the shipment is expected to be sent.
  • Actual ship date: the actual date the shipment was dispatched.
  • Shipment no: the unique identifier for each shipment.
  • Shipped Qty: the quantity of items shipped in the order.
  • Shipped Cost: the total cost of the shipped items.
  • Requested vs Actual ship dates: a comparison of the requested and actual shipment dates to assess delivery performance.



User Guide


Using the report

Now that we've covered the report overview, let's dive into a step-by-step guide on effectively utilizing the report.


  • Set the Connection Name on the Options Sheet: crucial for all processes, set the Connection Name on the Options sheet by updating cell A2. Ensure it matches the name used during Velixo application login.



  • Update the Options Sheet: as the foundation for filters on the Inventory Days of Supply sheet, keep the Options sheet up to date. It should always and automatically capture the latest dimensions and structures from your Acumatica instance.



  • Navigate to the Inventory Days of Supply tab and adjust the filters as needed.



  • Changing the filters will automatically both the Inventory Days of Supply and SO Shipment Details tabs.
