The SI.EMPLOYEENAME function returns the employee name corresponding to one or more given employee IDs.

Syntax

SI.EMPLOYEENAME(Connection, EMPLOYEEID)

Parameters


The SI. EMPLOYEENAME function uses the following parameters:

Connection

Required

The name of the connection as configured in the Connection Manager

EmployeeID

Required

The ID number of the employee


Examples

 

Example 1

=SI.EMPLOYEENAME("Sage", "1000")

Description

Returns the name of the employee with the ID "1000".

 

Result

(in this example, the employee number is accessed via a cell reference)

 

Example 2

=SI.EMPLOYEENAME("Sage", C2:C4)

Description

Returns the name of the employees whose ID numbers are listed in cell C2 through C4.

 

Result 

 

Example 3

=SI.EMPLOYEENAME("Sage", C2#)

Description

Returns the name of all employee names whose ID numbers are displayed by the function in cell C2.
