Installation steps

Installing Velixo NX is a self-service process that should only take one minute.

  1. Open Excel and create a new blank worksheet

        2. As with any add-in based on Excel's new extensibility features, installing Velixo NX typically requires each user

to have access to the Microsoft Store*

Depending on your edition of Excel, click one of the following Add-in buttons:

Excel editionAdd-in button
Excel for Windows

(desktop edition)

or

Online

(used within your web browser)

Navigate to the Home tab, then click Add-ins
Excel for Mac

(desktop edition)

Navigate to the Home tab, then click Add-ins

or in earlier versions of Excel 365 for Mac, navigate to the Insert tab, then click Store

        3.  In the Add-in screen, search for Velixo

        4.  Click Add

        5. Review the License Terms and privacy policy links, then click Continue

        6. Microsoft requires that you log in to your Microsoft Account for activating add-ins added from the Microsoft Store.

In the Velixo NX side panel, click Sign in with Microsoft

If you experience any issue in connecting to your Microsoft Account, Velixo NX provides an alternative method for activating the add-in.  Click the provided link (shown below):

Enter your email address and click the Get code button:

A one-time code will be sent to your email...

Enter that code into the Velixo NX side panel and then click the Validate button.

The Velixo NX ribbon will then appear in the Excel toolbar.

Note:

If the Velixo NX ribbon does not appear, navigate to the Home ribbon, and click the Velixo button in the Velixo NX section.

Velixo Classic

You can have both Velixo Classic and Velixo NX installed within the same installation of Excel.  Velixo NX will simply automatically defer all functionality to Velixo Classic.

Controlling Velixo NX Installations

* Rather than allowing each user to install Velixo NX, system admins have the ability to restrict access and then deploy Velixo NX to selected users on the system.
