• Brand-new Refresh experience that lets you select the scope of your Velixo NX data refresh: current worksheet only, entire workbook, or all open workbooks. (#4975)
  • By default, all options are “Smart Refresh” – to replicate the old “Full Refresh” behavior, use the new “Clear Cache” button on the ribbon and then invoke refresh again. 

Report distribution

• Velixo NX now supports retrieving and including attachments during the report distribution in PDF format. Potential use cases include substantiated billing and draw requests. (#5103). The functionality is supported by two new functions; include them in your workbook for the attachments to be automatically included in the resulting distributed PDF file:

Functions

UX

• You can now define a worksheet-scoped range “VelixoSuppressErrors” to prevent formula errors on the worksheet from appearing in the “Formulas to review” section of the status panel. (#5055)

• SI.QUERY now ignores trailing commas in the Select argument. (#5090)
• SI.QUERYFILTER will now interpret a stand-alone “*” as completely ignoring the column in the filter expression, as opposed to only returning non-NULL values. (#5096)

• Achieved breakthrough speed-up for reports using account groups (#5131)
  • Previously, loading account group hierarchies could take up a sizeable portion of the report refresh time.

• The Distribute and Distribution Tools ribbon buttons will now only be enabled on a Distribution List worksheet, not on any other sheet. (#5151)

Writeback

• During Universal Writeback (also known as Generic Writeback), proper Excel date values (e.g. the result of TODAYNV() as opposed to a text value like “11/01/2020) may now be used for columns expecting a date value. (#5005)
• Improved guidance for incorrect parent record references during Universal Writeback. (#5139)
• Better output fields validation messages in Universal Writeback (#4941)
• Writing back status (e.g. “Active” vs “active”) was made case-insensitive on a best-effort basis. (#4940)
• Velixo will provide better “partial success” feedback for writeback operations that result in errors but also partially upload / update the records. (#4927)
• In limited scenarios, you can now write to related fields during Universal Writeback using the dot syntax (for example, DISPLAYCONTACT.PRINTAS for VENDOR objects). (#5069)

UX

• In the “Formulas to review” section of the Status panel, some of the errors now carry a clickable link that navigates the user to a troubleshooting article. (#4960)

Calculation

• When “Refresh data when opening the file” option was enabled, Velixo NX (in rare cases) misinterpreted that option “Return zero value… when identifier is not found”. (#5130)

Copy without formulas

• WORKBOOKLASTREFRESHDATE function value date/time format presentation was lost in files with formulas removed. (#4943) 

Drill-down

• Second-level transaction drilldown into statistical accounts could include irrelevant lines not linked to the specified reporting book. (#4945)
• “Manual calculation mode error” could sporadically be seen when drilling down into a separate workbook. (#4977)
• In some cases where drill-down failed, empty drill-down sheets were added to the resulting workbook. (#5077)

Writeback

• “Writeback in progress” message could get stuck in the UI in case the workbook contained volatile formulas or errored-out cells. (#4637)
